Elizabethton High School's commitment to education is apparent in their mantra that "the best students walk the halls of EHS." They cultivate the best through their diverse educational, athletic, and extra-curricular opportunities. TWA collaborated with the school to innovate a new amphitheatre space in an existing interior courtyard to re-enforce this concept. Utilizing existing column spacing, the design offers a large storage space for theatrical props and other equipment with overhead door access, while extending a concrete platform to create an elevated stage. The functionality of the re-design is increased by the use of relevant branding graphics, sunshades for lighting control, and temporary seating and equipment.
